One Weigh at a Time

I didn't lose or gain this week but I knew that was going to happen because I indulged on Superbowl Sunday and I wasn't able to do Wii Fit because the sensor bar to our Wii broke! But at least Ididn't gain so that is good!

As for my long term goals: I want to about 40 pounds. I've been giving myself mini goals. I'd like to lose another 4-5 pounds by Valentine's Day and another 10-15 pounds by St. Patrick's Day (my little man's 2nd birthday!)

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

After three years of being out of the workforce I am actively looking for work again. I have been busy setting up profiles on all the job sites on the internet and applying for jobs. I'm also studying to take the test to get my initial certification to teach in NYC. It is a pretty
overwhelming task but every day I sit at the computer and look at as many job postings as I can.  I am also going to try and go to as many job fairs as I can. I just singed up for the Women for Hire job fair in NYC. It's on February 24th. I am still looking for jobs in publishing but Iam also branching out to look at jobs in education (that is why I want to get certified to teach) and also jobs in the non-profit sector. I found this great web site called This site has lots of non profit job listings. 
If anyone has any tips on job hunting please pass them on!

Not Me Monday


Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

So it was not me who went through SERIOUS email, blog, facebook and myspace withdrawal all last week because our internet was down. It was also not me who really wanted to jump on the computer right away once we got it working on Friday. Nope, didn't get frustrated either when Julia hopped on before me and became a computer hog all night!

Also not me who indulged in 2 cans of coca-cola instead of 1 after I promised to start a no soda for a month challenge today. It wasn't me who pledged one last soda before the challenge started and then chugged the two cans during the Super Bowl. I also did not indulge in 2 1/2 slices of Papa John's pizza during the Super Bowl... I am on a diet so I certainly didn't overdue it on the pizza last night!

One last thing... I did not get overly excited at the commercial for the new GI Joe movie. I mean sure I was a HUGE GI Joe fan as a kid and loved the cartoon but I wouldn't want to see a live action movie of it. Nope because it is probably not going to be that good so why would I want to see it???

One Weigh at a Time

I didn't get to do my week 4 post on time this week because my internet was down but I did want to be consistent and post the update since  I did weigh myself on weigh in day. I was so frustrated I couldn't get online because I finally had a loss!!! I lost three pounds!!! I started doing Wii Fit again and finally committed to keeping my food journal. So as of Tuesday I am 183.1 :) 

When I update this Tuesday I want to share some cool new weight loss tools that I found online.
