I've been finding so many websites about women's leadership and their role in church. I didn't know that there were so many websites on this subject!
Here are some that I have found and have been reading and getting their devotionals in my inbox daily:
Spirit led Woman
God's Word To Women
Transformation Garden
women 2 women connect
Journey of Joy
I've also been listening to a lot of Joyce Myers and looking at Beth Jones website too.
I think it's important as women to understand that our role in church and leadership is just as important as men! I know I've been getting a lot of inspiration and encouragement from all the information and devotionals I've been reading lately.
Last night I went to a Mary Kay meeting and I thought it would all be about makeup and selling. But this woman spoke to us (a director). She was telling us that we can accomplish anything that we put our minds to and she spoke about writing our goals and posting them somewhere so that we can have a constant visual reminder. She was saying that we need to surround ourselves with positive people instead of people who constantly complain. She said so many other things that I wish I had a tape recorder! I'm probably not doing her justice because her words were very powerful and I had many aha moments! I guess this meeting and her words were so important for me because I have been home and not career focused for so long. I'm not saying that being a stay at home mom is not fulfilling but I worked for over 10 years and I do miss the interaction and the different thinking processes that go into having a career. So much of my life before I had the kids was focused on school and career. But I am learning that it doesn't have to be all career focused or all mom focused. There is a balance. I just need to find that balance and relearn my time management skills!
This is taken from Journey of Joy I think it sums up everything that I have been hearing lately that has given me those "aha" moments:
When asked to describe yourself do you reach for your job title? Do you define yourself by your relationships -- wife, mother, lover, friend? Do you think of your successes, your failures, your dreams, your past? All of these are parts of who you are, but you are more than what you do, more than what you own, or where you live. You are a woman loved by God.
You are beautiful.
You are intelligent.
You are loved.
You are not alone.
How awesome to know that despite all we are loved by God! :)

New Beginnings...
I finally signed my agreement and I'm officially an Independent Mary Kay Beauty Consultant! It took some time to get to this point because my of a typo in their records but I am finally ready to start my business. I'm excited, scared and nervous but I am walking in faith that this is what God wants me to do right now so that I can stay home with my babies!
Here are the Mary Kay characteristics... I thought this was pretty cool!
Hopefully I'll have my Mary Kay website up and working by the end of the week. I now have to really schedule my time so that I can be successful and also have time to still write. I want to make sure that I don't overwhelm myself but I still feel led to write and I know I can achieve all the wonderful things that God has promised me. Through God all things are possible!

Prayers Needed....
Please pray for the family of Rev. Timothy Wright of Grace Tabernacle Christian Center. His car was struck by a drunk driver on July 4th as he and his family were returning from a church conference. His wife and grandson died as a result of their injuries and the Reverend is in critical condition. You can read the news article here. I heard about this at church last night. Here is a link to Rev. Wright's myspace page.
