I've been finding so many websites about women's leadership and their role in church. I didn't know that there were so many websites on this subject!

Here are some that I have found and have been reading and getting their devotionals in my inbox daily:

Spirit led Woman

God's Word To Women

Transformation Garden

women 2 women connect

Journey of Joy

I've also been listening to a lot of Joyce Myers and looking at Beth Jones website too.

I think it's important as women to understand that our role in church and leadership is just as important as men! I know I've been getting a lot of inspiration and encouragement from all the information and devotionals I've been reading lately.

Last night I went to a Mary Kay meeting and I thought it would all be about makeup and selling. But this woman spoke to us (a director). She was telling us that we can accomplish anything that we put our minds to and she spoke about writing our goals and posting them somewhere so that we can have a constant visual reminder. She was saying that we need to surround ourselves with positive people instead of people who constantly complain. She said so many other things that I wish I had a tape recorder! I'm probably not doing her justice because her words were very powerful and I had many aha moments! I guess this meeting and her words were so important for me because I have been home and not career focused for so long. I'm not saying that being a stay at home mom is not fulfilling but I worked for over 10 years and I do miss the interaction and the different thinking processes that go into having a career. So much of my life before I had the kids was focused on school and career. But I am learning that it doesn't have to be all career focused or all mom focused. There is a balance. I just need to find that balance and relearn my time management skills!

This is taken from Journey of Joy I think it sums up everything that I have been hearing lately that has given me those "aha" moments:

When asked to describe yourself do you reach for your job title? Do you define yourself by your relationships -- wife, mother, lover, friend? Do you think of your successes, your failures, your dreams, your past? All of these are parts of who you are, but you are more than what you do, more than what you own, or where you live. You are a woman loved by God.
You are beautiful.
You are intelligent.
You are loved.
You are not alone.

How awesome to know that despite all we are loved by God! :)

Hi, Jessie: I agree - I think if we do our best to focus on our first 'title' - a child of God - then our other 'titles' make a lot more sense. I will definitely be checking out some of these websites. Thanks for the great post, and have a joy-filled day!
